Hi, I’m Beth, I moved out to Manchester about a year ago after previously living in both Chester and Wigan. I’m still getting to know my way around the city, and thought I would share some of my discoveries and life snippets with you.
I live with my lovely boyfriend in a cosy little flat on the outskirts of the city. I’m still in the process of convincing him to let me have my very own puppy (it’s not going great currently!). I’m an undergraduate at the University of Chester where I study English Literature and Creative Writing which I love, as it allows me to explore my two main passions: reading and writing. Every surface in my flat is covered with books, as I’ve managed to fill all of my shelves, as well as being the sort of person who decides to read more than one book at once.
I love to spend my weekends eating lots of tasty food (and then spending the rest of the week feeling guilty), visiting new places around the area, or shopping. Lots and lots of shopping. I also try and squeeze in time to spend with my family and of course my friends, going out for meals to eat more food, or my all-time favourite, going out for lots of yummy cocktails.
Things I love:
- Aimlessly long walks
- Warm sunny days with blue skies and no clouds
- Really cold crispy days
- Visiting new countries
- Discovering new things
- Reading as many books as possible, trying to read as many genres as I can
- Spending time with the people who mean the most
- Coffee and cake
- Cocktails, especially strawberry daiquiris
- Hot baths with lots of bubbles
- Charity shop shopping
Things I hate:
- Being shy
- People who have a massive ego
- Most vegetables
- Normal coca cola (diet all the way)
I decided to create this blog as a way to develop my passion for writing, and to share the parts of my life that I’m proud of, and happy with.
